My Mac Lipstick Collection (The Reds)

So... continuing the collection we have come to the reds. My first ever Mac lipstick was a red and I think they are so important to have in your collection. Red transforms a whole look.

Here are my two, well loved red lipsticks. The quality of these are so amazing, and so worth the money spent on them.

OK so firstly, there is Russian Red. If you are looking for the perfect red, then this is your one. For £15.50, this lipstick has lasted over a whole year of constant use, not only from me but from a majority of my friends. This colour suits all skin tones, hair colours and will help to achieve any look. Not to mention how it applies, for a matte lipstick, this applies evenly and smoothly and it is so creamy its almost moisturising! The finish on this lipstick is beautiful, and is a true matte red.

Even though the lighting doesn't show the true colour of this very well, Mac Diva is another purple/red classic. Again, this is a matte finish and is a very deep, dark colour. It has both red and purple in the colour to create a colour that compliments many different looks. I would say that applying this is very different to applying Russian Red as it is almost.. more matte? It is quite difficult to get an even and smooth finished lip look with this lipstick, but once you persevere it gets a lot easier to work with and adjust to.

Below are the swatches that also include the Mac Toledo in Sin to show you a comparison between two darker reds.
